I am an ordinary man who, knowing of the tireless efforts of many people against poverty, hunger and malnutrition of millions of children in the world, decided to join this noble cause. And here is my contribution: my own heart —which comes beating in letters— to light yours and turn it into flames of compassion for those boys and girls who need urgent help, because hunger is the terrible scourge that attacks and kills the most defenseless on a daily basis. For those who exist sunk in misery —unfortunately—, in addition to a plate of food for their stomachs, we must help them grow knowing that they are human beings worthy of the social well-being that we all deserve in this life.

Today, the lives of more than 200 million children are at risk from malnutrition-related causes . Six children die every minute around the world . Millions more live with the effects of malnutrition for the rest of their lives, because their bodies and brains have not developed as they should.
